The Kings Yangon two-year IGCSE program offers the students 10 subjects depending on their interest and choice of study. The program enables the learner to develop an understanding of mathematical concepts, problem solving skills and application of concepts in practice and in business. The program focuses on Number systems, Space & time, Geometric measures, Probability and Statistics by:

• using and applying techniques

• interpreting, reasoning and communicating mathematically

• solving mathematical problems in wider contexts

English as a First Language (EFL)

Cambridge IGCSE First Language English is designed for learners whose first language is English. The course enables learners to: develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and change to: effectively when speaking and writing, use a wide range of vocabulary, correct use of grammer, spelling and punctuation.

English as a Second Language

Those studying English as a second language will gain lifelong skills while developing a wider international perspective. They will :

• advance communicative ability in English through development of speaking and writing skills.

• improve ability to understand English in a variety of everyday situations and in a variety of social registers and styles.

• have greater awareness of the nature of language and language-learning skills while studying a number of contemporary topics.

Science ( Chemistry, Physics, Biology)

IGCSE Science encourages learners to develop a better understanding of the world by teaching them about the influence of scientific study on society. They will gain skills that are essential for further study and everyday life by :

• working on skills like: achieving accuracy and precision, objectivity, integrity, enquiry, initiative and innovation

Information Communication Technology

IGCSE ICT explores how digital technology impacts the lives of individuals, organisations and society. Students will :

• work with a range of digital tools and techniques to produce effective ICT solutions in a range of contexts

• learn about current and emerging digital technologies and their use in a range of contexts

Business Studies

The Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies syllabus develops learners' understanding of business activity in the public and private sectors, and the importance of innovation and change. Learners find out how the major types of business organisation are established, financed and run, and how their activities are regulated. Factors influencing business decision-making are also considered, as are the essential values of cooperation and interdependence. Learners not only study business concepts and techniques but also enhance related skills such as numeracy and enquiry. The syllabus provides both a foundation for further study at Cambridge International A-levels and an Ideal preparation for the world or work.

Economics

The Cambridge IGCSE Economics syllabus develops an understanding of economic theory, terminology and principles. Learners study the economics of different countries and how these interrelate. They also learn to work with simple economics data.
